Obama appoints two more Indian-Americans to his legal team

Hi guys.The US president elect Barack Obama has elected two more American indians for his White house Council.Rashad Hussain and Shomik Datta, to his legal team were elected by barack Obama for the posts of Deputy Associate Counsel to the US President and special assistant to President's Counsel, Greg Craig respectively, the White House said.These decisions were made on JAN 28 th and is implementeon FEB 10th.
Hussain earned his bachelor's degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his Master's degree in Public Administration and in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Harvard University..Till recently serving as a Trial Attorney at the US Department of Justice, Hussain was as a Law Clerk to Damon J Keith on the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.He worked as a legislative assistant on the House Judiciary Committee, where he reviewed legislations such as the USA Patriot Act.
Hope Obama will give importance to India as is clear from his wish to Indians

Al Queda leader warns India of more attacks

A senior Al Queda leader threatened India with more Mumbai Stlye terror attacks if India attacks Pakistan ,The BBC reported on Tuesday.He is though to have killed by Pakistan military last summer.
In a video message Mustafa Abu al-Yazid believed to be the Al Queda's military commander in Afganistan warned India that it would pay a heavy price if it tried to harm Pakistan.
Referring Mumbai attacks as India's humiliation he asked the pakistan peopleto rise up and throw the government aside.He also threatened that if india hurts pakistan then Indian military would be put to ground like they did to Russian army in Afganistan.
Really it is humiliating one that a terrorist organisation threating a country like India.Hope India handles it safely

India to await formal response

Hi guys.The controversies between India and Pakistan has grown up after the muamabai terror attacks on 26 November 2008.India on Monday said that it would wait for a formal response from Pakistan before reacting to the steps taken by the Islamabad to book the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks."We wait a formal response .The picture is not clear", said sources in the Ministry of External affairs on reports that Pakistan Cabinet;s Defence Committii chaired by prime miniter Yousuf Raza Gilani considered the material provide by India on the involvement of its nationals in the attacks and the course of it own investigation so far.

Kidnapped Indian found dead in Afganistan

Hi guys.It is a really pity one.Simon Paranthaman (39) ,kidnapped in Afganistan for ransom ,is dead ,according to official sources here.Paranthaman ,who hails form a village near kallakurichi in Villupuram distraict of Tamil Nadu was abducted along with two Afgans in October lastfrom the herat province in West Afganistan.He is survived by wife Vasanthi,daughter Nirmala (10) and son Ajit (8).
He was travelling in a vehicle with a driver and an interpreter to deliver food on behalf of his employer Italian food Company Ciano International to Italian troops at a at a base when the abductors struck.His brother Subramanian too works for the company and it was he wqho informed the family about the Kidnapping.There was no word whether Taliban was behind his killing.The sources reports that there were a no of gangs indulged in kidnappings for ransom or sought protection money.
When the report of the kidnapping surfaced after Parathaman spoke to his brother ,then working in Kabul,government sources here asked media not to air the news as they feared it might jeoparadise the chances of the release.
Paranthaman reportedly told his brother that he was being held in a room by some militants ,who were demanding ransom.Some media channels carried news and after this nothing was heard from Paranthamam .Poor family is waiting for Paranthaman's body.Feel really pity for him.Let god bless the best for his family.
